人行道有效宽度和利用率分析

行人事故(Pedestrian RTAs)在许多发展中国是很严重的问题。本文研究各种有效宽度下的城市道路人行道的使用率与交通道路特征包括自行车流量、行人流量、机动车流量和车速之间的关系,以及不使用人行道的行人的性别年龄特征,为城市道路提供合理的行人通道设计提供理论和数据依据。研究表明:有效宽度在1.8m以下的人行道会妨碍人们的正常使用,有效宽度小于1m的人行道大多数行人不会使用.机动车流量和车速对利用率没有显著影响。行人流量和人行道利用率成反比。[著者文摘]

Analysis of Footpath Width andPedestrian Usage Rate

Abstract:
Pedestrian Road Traffic Accidents (PedestrianRTAs) are the most serious problems in most ofdeveloping countries. Aiming to provide reference and data for the footway pathdesign, this paper studies the relationship between the effective width offootway and the rate of usage, and the relationship between the rate of usageand the pedestrian volume, the traffic volume, vehicle speed and cyclistvolume. Moreover, the generation and age character of those who do not oftenuse the footpath are analyzed. The study shows that the effective width of thefootpath less than 1.8m impacts the usage. When it is narrower than 1m, theproblem is more serious and the majority of the pedestrian will not use thefootpath. The traffic flow and velocity do not showa significant correlationwith the usage rate. And with the increase of the pedestrian volume, the usagerate deceases.
